Deliciously innovative since 1930. Three passionate, independent cranberry growers banded together with one mission: see this superfruit soar. Today, Ocean Spray is a vibrant agricultural cooperative of around 700 family farmers. The Ocean Spray Cooperative has far outgrown its tiny but mighty beginnings while remaining rooted in the innovative spirit of its farmer-owners.

The Harvest
Every autumn cranberries reach their peak of color and flavor and are ready for harvesting. That is when our growers harvest millions of pounds of cranberries. The cranberry harvest is a year’s worth of hard work culminating in an incredible process - a moment Ocean Spray growers are always proud of.
From Bogs to Products
Harvesting the Mighty Cranberry
The bog is flooded before wet harvest and growers use unique harvesting machines to loosen the cranberries from the vine. Each berry has tiny pockets of air that allow it to float to the surface. From there, they are corralled together, loaded into trucks, and shipped off to become Ocean Spray products. Fresh cranberries may also be harvested by gently combing the berries off the vines to ensure high-quality fruit.
